Our Story
My (Kent) personal relationship with Christ began on May 13, 1981. I was in my freshman year of high school in Gering, NE when I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior. Soon after God began to give me a desire to see my classmates come to know Jesus. A “Campus Missionary” was born! During my senior year, I helped lead a campus ministry, FCA, and led my football team in prayer before and after games. Pursuing God’s call on my life, I attended North Central University in Minneapolis, MN, and graduated with the first class of Youth Ministry Majors in May of 1988. North Central University is where I met and fell in love with my wife Staci Collier. Staci accepted Jesus as her savior at a young age and was called into full time ministry during her junior high school years. Her stand for Christ was known on her high school campus, giving her opportunities to share with friends her relationship with Jesus – LIVE & TELL. As you can see reaching students has been a part of both of our lives from an early age.
God has blessed our family with two sons, Grant and Garrett.
Kent & Staci have been Youth Alive Missionaries for Wisconsin and Northern Michigan since 1997 until their appointment as the National Campus Missionary Coordinator in 2008. In Wisconsin/Northern Michigan we communicated with 1,300 Campus Missionaries, in our new missionary role we connect with over 40,000 students nation-wide.
With over 25 years of youth ministry experience, God continued to make our paths firm in reaching young people with Jesus Christ, THE Message of Hope! We are passionate about reaching this generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We want to bring vision, resources and tools for students and local youth ministries to reach young people in their area for Christ.
We know this generation...
.....is looking for a cause that is bigger than them and brings passion and purpose to their life.
.....longs to make a difference in others, but, doesn’t know how or think they can.
.....can create culture and transform it rather than just react to it.
.....is looking for Hope!
Students are standing up to be the next voice of Hope to their friends as they take a personal challenge to be a Missionary to their school campus, private or public school. Home Schoolers take the challenge to reach the youth in their area for Him.
A Campus Missionary (A 6th- 12th Grade Student) is a student who shares Jesus at school, wherever they go. Students can sign up for additional coaching and support at http://www.yausa.com/campusmissionary/
